The Great Boars of Fire caters parties for ten guests or events with thousands of guests. There is no party too small, and no event too big! Weddings, luncheons, office parties, reunions, birthdays, company picnics, really any kind of special event! Our competitive pricing is structured to accommodate the type of event and the number of guests that you plan to serve. We are fully mobile and ready to roll!
We Can Host Your Event
Our Great Boars of Fire Lodge is nestled in the Shawnee National Forest of Southern Illinois on Kratzinger Hollow Road in Union County. We are proud to say that we are within easy striking distance of the areas local wineries and breweries. The perfect combination of accessible and yet beautiful and private. Your guests will enjoy a beautiful, hand made, solid oak, full service bar. And there is a staircase is located beside the bar that leads upward to a balcony and a private room called The Boar's Nest. This area is perfect for parties of 10 to 100 people. Our main room can accommodate parties of up to 300 guests comfortably.

"Both individually and as a Local Union we have used Great Boars of Fire, on several occasions, for outings we have held as a Local Union. We have had occasions to use them for small groups under 30 as well as many large groups up to 6,000.
The Southern Illinois Building Trades has used their services on Labor Day for our large Union celebration at the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds. We usually have thousands of members and their families attending. Last year, The Great Boars of Fire fed around 6000 people and from the first to the last, the food was very good.
I would recommend them to anyone. Not only is the pork delicious, but I have failed to taste anything that was not well prepared and very tasty. They also have many sides to satisfy different tastes.
